Keeping track and ensuring that company licenses are kept current is critical to avoiding costly state violations or stop sale notices. Once obtained, licenses are valid only for a set period of time before needing to be renewed again. Adding to the complexity of state renewals is the fact that some state licenses are valid only until the end of the year, some are good through April, or June (regardless of when issued), a few are good for a full year, while still others are valid for two or more years!
